Chronology of cameras Burke and James

Here's what the advertisement for this camera said in 1915 when it was released:

"This camera is so small that it can be easily carried in the pocket of a jacket or in a woman's handbag, yet it produces clear and sharp images in the 6 x 9 format, a sufficiently large size for practical use.

The equipment includes a meniscus achromatic fixed-focus lens and a self-cocking shutter with 2 speeds: B (bulb), T (time), and I (instant), a dust-proof, rotating, and bright viewfinder, and two nuts for tripod mounting to take vertical or horizontal photos.

A single operation automatically brings the front of the camera into position for immediate use. This operation takes only 2 seconds.

The No. 0 Ingento is constructed of metal. The body is covered in vachette leather, the trimmings are nickel-plated and polished. It is beautifully finished in the smallest details. Resistance, rigidity, and extreme compactness are its distinctive features.

It uses Ansco No. 4A or Brownie No. 2 films. Price: $10."
